WE BELIEVE in the Bible just as it is for people right where they are. Our mission encourages non-Christians to become Christians and Christians to become more like Christ. We do this through a balance of Fellowship, Worship and Service.
THE BIBLE is a book written under the divine inspiration of God and accepted by Christians as the Word of God.
All scritpure is given by inspiration of God. (2 Tim 3:16). Holy men of God wrote the Bible. The prophets and priests wrote the books of the Old Testament. Evangelists and apostles wrote the books of the New Testament.
Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1:21).
THE WORD "GOD" is a title men use to describe the ONE Supreme Being. He is worshipped as the only One wise enough and strong enough to create and maintain the universe.
THE HOLY TRINITY is the tri-unity of three divine and distinct idenifties--the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost (Spirit). These three are in ONE God. The three identifies are very distinct from one another, but at the same time they are inseparable, for they operate together in unity.
THAT GOD CREATED MAN IN HIS IMAGE And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. (Gen. 1:26)
THAT MAN LOST THE IMAGE OF GOD WHEN HE FELL INTO SIN. . . A restoration of this image is taking place in believers through the work of the Holy Spirit. The full restoration will be completed in the resurrection. "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." ( Cor. 15:52).
THAT JESUS CHRIST, the eternal Son of God was born of a virgin, literally rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, is undiminished deity and perfect humanity permanently united in one person. It was through His sacrificial death on the cross that He removed once and for all the barrier of sin between God and man.
SALVATION is the unearned gift from God to any man who will receive the provision that Christ's death is the sufficient and necessary requirement for eternal life.
THE HOLY SPIRIT is the third person of the Holy Tri-unity, true God with the Father and the Son. He is the outbreathing of God, that is, the life of God going forth to quicken. He strives with sinners to bring them to God, by convicting them of sin and convincing them to repent. He regenerates men/women to make them new creatures, baptizes them into the Body of Christ and indwells and fills them with his Spirit. He directs and guides men/women into His service. He equips and empowers them and opens the way for them to communicate with God through prayer and praise. He provides every believer with gifts for service and with the fullness of God's power to make him adequate for living. As he acts in dependence upon the Spirit, he will progressively grow into maturity.
THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH is the visible expression of God's kingdom in this age and is distinct from Israel. Membership in it is based solely upon a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
THE LOCAL CHURCH is any local assembly made up of members of the Universal Church, the Body of Christ, whose common bond is their fellowship with Christ.
THE ORDINANCES are to be observed commemorating Christ's works for the church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is practiced by individuals as an expression of personal identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord's Supper is practiced corporately as a symbolic reminder of His provision for salvation for the church.
HISTORY is controlled by the sovereign rule of God and will culminate in the establishment of His kingdom upon earth .... A kingdom ruled by His Son and those who have placed their faith in Him.
